Féin” (Myself).
Here is how to install the programme.
- Bua na Cainte URL: Bua na Cainte
- Select the File which suits your PC.
- Select the Class Level you require and click to download. (Junior Infants)
- Once downloaded, click on the file to install and follow the instructions.
- A Bua na Cainte icon will appear on desktop. Click this icon to bring you to a login page.

Story Time
Children love having a story read to
them by their parents/ Guardians. Try read one book a day with your child. Bedtime is a
lovely time to do this. Some tips
when reading a story to them. Only
pick one or two of these points to focus on when you are reading a story.
●
Discuss the title of the
story and the picture on the front - What do you think the story is about?
●
Who is the author,
illustrator? What is the author’s job? (to write the words) What is the
illustrator’s job? (to draw the pictures)
●
Can you show me the front/back
and spine of the book?
●
When reading the story
every so often ask your child to show me the start and end of the sentence.
●
Focus on two tricky
words for example she and the, can you find these tricky words in the story.
Every day focus on finding two more different tricky words in the
book.
Focus on finding rhyming words in the story - what rhymes with cat, pet,
dip, hid etc.
